During this safari, you will visit Nyungwe Forest, a huge montane forest in southern Rwanda yet still the largest in the whole of Central Africa. The Nyungwe is habitat to 13 primate species among which are chimpanzees plus large troops of Rwenzori Colobus. approximately 300 species of birds, orchids as well as butterflies are among the other attractions found in this park.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Nyungwe Forest National Park

 

on having a briefing regarding your safari, you will head to Nyungwe Forest National Park. There you will visit the ancient Nyanza palace and drive through the green tea hills as well as the huge Nyungwe Forest.

Day 2: Nyungwe Forest Walk

 

Today you will enjoy a guided nature walk as look for the various primate species among which are Colobus monkeys in addition to birds such as the Rwenzori turaco, hawks, eagles, hornbills, African Flycatcher chat, yellow eyed black flycatcher, mountain oriole and the strange weaver among others or choose to set out chimpanzee tracking. After a wonderful breakfast you at leisure drive back to the capital – Kigali. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the cultural museum found in Butare. You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
